Are you someone who wants to make positive changes in your community and the world? Rotary provides the opportunity to give back to the community - supported by a friendly club environment and using the platform of a global service organisation. It is non-political and non-religious.
Heirisson is a special club. We do community projects that deliver significant benefit using our members’ interests, strengths and capacity – while maintaining an inclusive, supportive and fun club environment. Our club has almost equal numbers of men and women – the first Rotary club in WA to do so.
Our vision is to be "a collective power for community good".

Our members come from a wide-ranging set of backgrounds, but we share a common set of values:
Commitment to community service - our members are all people who are willing to dedicate some of their free time to our projects and events.
Friendliness, a sense of belonging, fellowship, teamwork and fun - our club meetings are relaxed, informal and fun. We hear from inspiring speakers, exchange ideas and connect with like-minded people.
Embracing inclusivity and diversity, without making judgements - we are an inclusive club and all are welcome
At Heirisson we aim to make a difference in people’s lives locally and globally – doing our part to make the world safer, healthier, and more equitable. We make a difference not only by providing emergency support, but most importantly by empowering people to do things for themselves - creating sustainable change in their lives. Our projects include:
A program of projects to address the serious issue of street homelessness in Perth
Support for a team of Perth dentists who provide free dental to Aboriginal communities in the Kimberley
Supporting students to attend Rotary’s National Youth Science Forum
Contributing time, expertise and funds to support Girrawheen Senior High School
Participation in a 2-way international Student Exchange program with countries in Europe, South America and Asia
Providing support for major events (eg ANZAC Day, Australia Day)
Fund raising activities to support these projects such as our Duck Derby at Hillarys
More information on these or our other projects can be found here
