Last Week....
A very warm welcome to Estelle Erb.
Here is a delightful pic of our newest member, Estelle Erb being inducted by Robin Arndt. We all hope you enjoy being a member of our very happy team at Heirisson Rotary Estelle.
Also last week

We were treated to a hugely interesting talk by Nicki Mckenzie on 12 Buckets, an intervention program aimed at primary school children that struggle due to negative influences in their young lives. The program lifts self esteem and positive attributes. Schools that support the program report wonderful and extraordinary results.

The Rotary Auction dinners are always loads of fun with excellent food, wine and laughs.
The good ship Cracklin Rosie moored in Pancake Creek, Far North Queensland.
Don delivers socks for Street Chaplains...

Daveena Harris from Street Chaplains picked up the socks donated by RC of Wanneroo. Photo attached. She is very grateful and asked that thanks be passed on to the donors. Daveena also said that the annual Street Chaplains conference (?) - where we will be showing 'Eye Contact' - will be held on Saturday 28 August at the Baptist Church, which is on the corner of Carrington Street and Canning Highway, Bicton.
Our thoughts are still very much with,
Our Sergeant Rodney whom was thought to have had a bad cold but has had 'bronchial pneumonia' but is improving well and following his final visit to the experts this coming Friday should be back with us by July 1. Estelle, our newest member with a broken ankle is also improving which is good news. Allan is undergoing more medical assessments and will be operated on next week and is in very good hands. Get well soon Allan, I'm getting hungry!!
Announcing a new box trailer for Heirisson Rotary!!
Finally, your erstwhile reporter is in possession of our new 7x5 box trailer after a more than normal amount of Govt. red tape. It was worth it though, the trailer will be great for carting around the Eye Contact Exhibition, BBQs, tables or anything else in our Rotary endeavors and we get a 100% discount on the yearly licence fee.
