Hi Folks,
Last week..........
Our much admired mathematician Ken Mullin walked us through the "My Health Record" system (a project he was personally involved in) and what an eye opener it was. Firstly there appeared to be 'not many' of us fully aware of it and secondly that the Government had really dropped the ball in communicating our need to engage with this program. Your erstwhile writer immediately upon returning home logged on and found that the only entries therein were pharmacy prescriptions but nowhere near all of them. So thanks muchly Ken, I'll be looking into this.
and from President Don,
Last Thursday I attended a thankyou event for supporters of Breast Cancer Care WA (https://bcrc-wa.com.au/) who were partners and beneficiaries in last year’s Duck Derby and they are participating again this year. I met Emma Taylor, Community Relations Executive and Andrea Sampson, Operations Manager. I promoted this year’s Duck Derby and gave them a heap of Duck Derby Flyers. Both Emma and Andrea said they would be pushing ticket sales by Facebook and other means. A photo of the assembled passionate supporters of the organisation is above.
As a result of the generosity of the students at St Mary's Anglican School for Girls, we were given a Subaru-sized boot full of socks. Today, large bags of socks have been given to Tranby House (Uniting Care WA), St Bart's and
Perth Homeless Support Group. Tomorrow, the Street Chaplains will be collecting the remainder. All organisations are very pleased to receive these, with the wet cold weather increasing the demand from their clients.
They expressed their thanks to the students at St Mary's and to Heirisson.
Attached is a photo of the socks being handed over at PHSG.

And here's some pics from St. Mary's Anglican School for Girls and what a wonderful job they did gathering an absolute huge quantity of socks for the homeless people of Perth
And a giant thank you must go to Fr. Richard Pengelly, the St. Mary's Chaplain who not only managed the exhibition but helped us carry the portraits in, install them and helped us collect them at the end.
