Rotary Exchange Students launch new 'Rotex' Club
Keiren Shun, Warwick Smith and Don Burnside represented Heirisson at the launch of the Rotex Club, which has been formed by returning Rotary Exchange Students, to support returning students and to progress their own contributions to the community. The club has 16 members and the President is Rhianna Fig. The photo shows District Governor Jon Bilson presenting the Charter to the members of the Club. It was an enjoyable evening at the Prince Lane Bar with many new and old friends of the Rotary Exchange Program present. The Club has already been fund raising via a Quiz Night and Bunnings sausage sizzle fundraisers, and volunteered at the Mundaring Markets and our 2020 Heirisson Duck Derby

Heirisson Rotary Donates to the 12 Buckets Initiative
As announced at last week’s meeting (24 June), we have provided a donation of $1,200 to the 12 Buckets Program, which will support the mentoring for one year of one ‘at risk’ primary school student.
Nicki Mckenzie responded ‘Thank you for your email and the fantastic news that Heirisson Rotary Club are supporting a child in our mentoring program for a year. I was so grateful for the opportunity to share more about 12 Buckets and the programs we provide, your donation is very generous and very much appreciated. Please pass on the thanks from 12 Buckets to all your amazing Rotary members.’

Gird yer loins and pull on your bike shorts because it's on again! It's an EBike ride to Albany!
On July 3rd a group of 8 cyclists including our own Justin and Maddie will be
hitting the road from Fremantle, heading
to Albany via the wheatbelt over 6 days on
electric and road bikes. Why? Well aside
from the adventure and to test the amazing
durability of the 'Ryder Brand' (and the rider's shorts) the group is hoping to raise $5000 for local charity

tea before heading to Beverley on day 1.

(Day 2), Ongerup (Day 3), Bremer Bay (Day
4), Stirling Ranges (Day 5), then finishing up
at Albany on the 6th day. The 7th day will see
the intrepid riders head to the Torndirrup

In addition to raising money for the charity
it is important to the group that we inject as
much money into these smaller communities
as possible. Last year it was estimated over
$30,000 was pumped into local economies
from this ride alone.
