Heirisson Happenings

Hi Folks,

Last week.....
We heard Barbara Newton, Principal of Girrawheen Senior High School talk about the fantastic programs and lively action of the students of this school. Barbara also showed a video of children dancing and participating in sports and just how happy they were, cooperating as a great team. Hats off to Barbara and all the teachers of Girrawheen SHS for the wonderful work they do with the students.

We are seeking commitments from members to participate in NYSF selections on Sat 23rd October from 8.30am to about 1.00pm.
Volunteers must either have a Working with Children card or provide a receipt confirming they have applied for one. While a bit of an inconvenience, it is suggested all members obtain a card so they can participate in such activities. Please see Jim if you can help.

Duck Derby in the final week from Justin and President Don:

Calling all Heirisson members, families and friends.

The Duck Derby is just about upon us.  The event is being run at Hillarys Marina 10.00 am to 3.00 pm this coming Saturday and we are hoping that all members will be able to attend.  There are lots of chores to be done beforehand and cleaning up to be done afterwards.

In the meantime, if you have time available during Wednesday through to Friday, please let Don (0427 357 982) or Warwick (0419 967 628) know, as you could help at Hillarys with ticket selling, duck tagging or other chores.

It has been full on over the last few days, especially for Justin, Keiren and Warwick and any help you can provide will be appreciated.  More details will be provided at Thursday morning’s meeting.
