WARC caters for athletes who participate in selection processes for both State and National teams, in sculling, sweep and LTA events. Athletes afforded a place in our elite program are provided with personalised training opportunities and access to one of the best equipment fleets in WA. Places in the program are limited. This program has helped athletes in their bid for selection in a variety of crews to compete both in Australia, and abroad. On-water training is exclusively in the mornings due to poor weather during the afternoon.

WARC is one of Australia’s oldest continuously-operating rowing clubs. The WA Rowing Clubhouse was built in 1905 and the fact it still stands is a testament to generation upon generation of volunteer athletes who have dedicated their time to her upkeep. It is one of the last remaining "floating" boathouses in the world.
